Step 1: Unpack Everything

  • Take the monitor and computer case out of the box.
  • Remove any plastic coverings or tape.
  • Place the monitor and computer case on a desk or table with good airflow to prevent overheating.

Step 2: Find the Monitor Cable

  • Look for the monitor cable. It may look different from the image in your manual.
  • If you’re unsure, check the instruction manual.

Note: If you have an all-in-one computer, skip to Step 4.

Step 3: Connect the Monitor

  • Plug one end of the monitor cable into the computer case.
  • Plug the other end into the monitor.
  • Make sure the cable aligns with the ports. Don’t force it.

Step 4: Connect the Keyboard

  • Unpack the keyboard.
  • Check if it uses a USB connector (rectangular) or a PS/2 connector (round).
  • Plug it into the corresponding port on the back of the computer.

Step 5: Connect the Mouse

  • Unpack the mouse.
  • Check if it uses a USB or PS/2 connector.
  • Plug it into the matching port on the back of the computer.

If your keyboard has a USB port, you can connect the mouse to the keyboard.
For wireless devices, you may need a Bluetooth dongle or adapter.

Step 6: Connect Speakers or Headphones

  • Find the audio ports on the computer.
    • Green: Speakers or headphones.
    • Pink: Microphones.
    • Blue: Line in for other devices.
  • Plug the devices into the correct ports. Some devices use USB instead of audio plugs.

Step 7: Connect the Power Supply

  • Plug one power cable into the back of the computer case and connect it to a surge protector.
  • Use the other cable to connect the monitor to the surge protector.

You can use an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) instead of a surge protector for extra safety during power outages.

Step 8: Power Up

  • Plug the surge protector into a wall outlet.

  • Turn on the surge protector if it has a switch.

Avoid plugging the computer directly into the wall to protect it from power surges.

Step 9: Connect Peripherals

  • Connect additional devices like printers, scanners, or webcams.
  • Many devices are plug-and-play, meaning they will work as soon as they are connected.
  • Some devices may require software installation. Follow the instructions provided with the device.
