Aligning Objects
To align two or more objects:
- Hold the Shift or Ctrl key and click on the objects you want to align.
- Click the Format tab, then select Align.
- Choose an alignment option, like Align Right.
- The objects will be aligned based on your selection.
By default, objects align with each other. If you want to align them with the page, select Align to Page or Align to Margin before choosing an option.
Distributing Objects Evenly
To make objects an equal distance apart:
- Select multiple objects using Shift or Ctrl.
- Click the Format tab and select Align.
- Choose Distribute Horizontally or Distribute Vertically.
- The objects will now be evenly spaced.
Grouping Objects
Grouping makes it easier to move or resize multiple objects at once.
To group objects:
- Select the objects by holding Shift or Ctrl.
- Click the Format tab, then select Group.
- The objects will now move and resize as one.
To ungroup objects, select the group, go to the Format tab, and choose Ungroup.
Ordering Objects
Objects are arranged in layers. The last object added is on top. If objects overlap, you can change the order.
To move an object:
- Select the object.
- Click Bring Forward or Send Backward under the Format tab.
- The object will move one level forward or backward.
For faster changes, use Send to Back or Bring to Front to move objects behind or in front of everything.
If objects are hard to select, use the Selection Pane on the Format tab to manage layers easily.
Rotating or Flipping Objects
To change an object’s direction:
- Select the object.
- Click Rotate under the Format tab.
- Choose a rotation option, such as Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical.
The object will rotate as selected.
By using these tools, you can arrange objects neatly in your document.
